School Policy for the Academic Year 2023-2024


Objective:

To foster the holistic development of our students, equipping them with the necessary skills, values, and mindset to become responsible citizens and lifelong learners.

Mission:
St. Lino Science High School is committed to nurturing students' potential and instilling in them the values of integrity, excellence, and service, guided by Christian principles.

Vision:
We envision graduates who are intellectually competent, morally upright, and socially responsible individuals, capable of making positive contributions to society.

High School Goals:

  1. Strengthen ethical, spiritual, and moral values.
  2. Foster critical thinking and analytical skills.
  3. Promote desirable habits, skills, and attitudes towards work.
  4. Inculcate love of country and a sense of nationhood.
  5. Encourage aspirations for higher education.
  6. Uphold values of truth, justice, peace, and love.
  7. Foster awareness of community needs and issues.

Code of Conduct: Students are expected to adhere to the school's rules and regulations and conduct themselves with courtesy, respect, and integrity at all times.

Article 1 – Basis of Discipline: Specific Misconduct:

  1. Dishonesty: Any form of cheating or academic dishonesty.
  2. Stealing: Unauthorized taking of property.
  3. Possession of Deadly Weapons: Carrying weapons on school premises.
  4. Substance Abuse: Smoking, drinking, gambling, or drug use.
  5. Vandalism: Destruction of school property.

Off-Limits Areas: Students are prohibited from entering restricted areas without permission.

Behavior Guidelines: In the Classroom:

  • Respectful behavior towards teachers and classmates.
  • Adherence to classroom rules and procedures.
  • Promptness and attendance.

In Other School Areas:

  • Respectful behavior in all school premises.
  • Proper use and maintenance of school facilities.

Admission Requirements:

  • Submission of required documents and certificates.
  • Entrance examination and interview.
  • Memorandum of agreement.
  • Medical certificate.
  • Pastoral recommendation.
  • Barangay clearance.
  • Passport for foreign students.

Uniforms and School ID:

  • Students are required to wear the school uniform during school hours and official school events.
  • School ID must be visibly worn at all times within the school premises.

Grading System:

  • Academic performance (100%)
  • Conduct and behavior (100%)
  • Open Book Examination (100%)

Selection of Honor Students:

  • Criteria include academic performance, conduct, and co-curricular activities.
  • Top ten students with no grade lower than 95% considered for honors.

Thesis/Research Compilation:

  • Requirement for Grade 10 students.
  • Encourages higher-level thinking and preparation for college-level work.

  • Ensure compliance with clearance procedures before the semester ends:

    Clear outstanding fees.

    Return library materials.

    Complete academic requirements.

    Address any department-specific obligations.

    Non-compliance may delay access to grades and transcripts. Act promptly to avoid issues.


    Transfer Policy:

Scholar students are not allowed to transfer unless with a valid reason and proper transfer procedure. All students who transfer to another school will be required to pay a transfer fee of P1500, and non-compliance with clearance and correct transfer procedures will result in a fee of P2500. As a missionary school, we deeply value our students, and it saddens us to see them leave our community. Clearance must comply.
